For Greenbox REONALD® designed this large family home in Sydney. On a very steep and narrow site overlooking Dolans Bay, the domestic program is organised in two pavilions that step down the site in response to the topography. The upper pavilion accomodates kids bedrooms, guest suite, rumpus room and home office. The lower pavilion provides ample space for a master bedroom, living, ding kitchen, family room, entertainment, home cinema, wine cellar, wellness and guest bedroom.

The pavilions are connected by a water filled courtyard to provide for the opportunity for cross ventilation. 

 

The building envelope had to work within strict council requirements for heights and setbacks. This resulted in a staggering arrangement of the house that maximises the enjoyment of dramatic bay views from all living areas.
